Description of / about our schools:

Inverloch is situated on the coast and Kongwak in the rolling hills of South Gippsland approximately 140 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. We are inclusive schools with students from diverse backgrounds and needs. A strong partnership exists with the local pre-schools, and a structured program is conducted throughout the year to ensure the smooth transition for both children and parents into our school and from our schools to our local government secondary colleges.

Over the last seven years the Inverloch enrolment has grown from 180 to around 320 and continues to grow. In 2010, Inverloch operated with 13 classes, with all children having timetabled physical education, library, music and art sessions. In 2009-10 Inverloch Primary School was completely rebuilt and now offers modern learning spaces. Our spacious grounds will continue to be developed with a great vegetable garden, interesting play areas and outdoor learning environment.

Kongwak is situated 14 kilometres inland from Inverloch, in the valley of peace! Kongwak Primary School operates under a hub-annexe arrangement with Inverloch Primary School, with both schools combining for sporting events, camps and visiting arts/cultural activities. The school is well resourced with three classrooms, a small multipurpose room, interactive whiteboards, a greenhouse, vegetable garden and a range of sporting equipment. As the school is the focal point of this small rural community, a very high degree of parent and community participation and involvement occurs throughout all aspects of the school activities.
